U-Tunes CD Illustrations...

Here's the finished product of some illustrations I did for a CD of children's music for a church. Yep, that's right - for a church. So if you happen to be an art director or publisher, just know that I'm open to all sorts of illustration jobs. The layout, production, coloring, and typeset was done by Jake Thomas. Below are some additional drawings for the CD insert.

You work for a very openminded church isn¨t it?....or for a very clever one. Anyway...congratulations...

Really fun set. I'm not sure I get the space reference---is it the creation of the universe or something? This has to be one heck of a church. Seems like it was a fun collaboration.

Thanks Marga! Yeah, when I agreed to do this job, I still doubted that they'd want me to do it. But, they ended up liking it.

Bob - I know the theme is a bit clunky, but they needed an astronaut doing "some stuff" on the moon and whatnot. Not sure myself about the connection between space and Christ, but uh, I suppose I could listen to the CD! Ha!

A wonderful work.
I also used to do some jobs for church, but I guess that they are far away letting me do something in that way. I should try it next time...

Ulf K. - Hey, I know your comic work (Bries publishing, I believe) and have seen some of your anthology stuff too. I really enjoy your cartooning and thanks for checking out my stuff.

Hey! I worked on that!
Working with Onsmith was great; I was just worried that I'd screw-up his inks!

Seriously though- Onsmith is the man and I would gladly work with him again.

(By the way- the CD was for a vacation bible school put on by a "mega-church" aka over 5000 members. The theme for the VBS was space.... go figure.)
