Paper Doll/Puppet Thing.
Here's a paper doll/puppet I made on bristol board using prismacolor markers, ink, eyelet setter, and (of course) eyelets. Next one will be a little better crafted, as the legs on this one are a bit weak. I'll post images of the next one when I do it.
I love this kinda thing... We should make DOZENS of 'em, make them in limited editions, and sell them randomly, llike bubblegum cards or crackerjack prizes!
Thanks guys! I think if I did several of these, I'd maybe screenprint the parts with the Gocco or something, as this one is all original and took me a while to do. Oh, and Dave - yeah, I have the setter - it's double-ended with one that punches the hole and the other that sets/hammers the eyelet. It's spring-loaded with metal rods on each end, so you just snap the tool and it punches or hammers. Pretty handy.
I'm easily menaced. His sharp fingers & nose are like knives in my nightmare vision, and he's blue (maybe a suffocation victim?), and his face is frozen into that grin, while his limbs move freely, so that's how imagine him running at me, slashing with his nose & fingers AAAAAGGH! Aiiieeeee!!!

What a great toy! I wanna make one--do you own the eyelet setter?
I think you could make a killing selling these at craft shows
Sweet shit!

I'm afraid this little guy will be chasing me in my dreams. First, he'll punch a hole in me, then he'll hammer my eyelets.
Thanks Ryoko! Good to hear from you too! And Chris, is it that menacing? Ha!

If you tossed the seperate parts in a program like Flash, you'd be on your way to animating him.
Ha! I gotcha Chris. S'funny, it did kinda turn out to look like a maniacal used car salesman or something.
Bob - I'm a moron when it comes to Flash, but I wouldn't mind screwing around with it someday...
